systemic inflammation. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves comparing soluble
urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (suPAR), soluble triggering receptor
expressed on myeloid cells (sTREM)-1, macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF),
neutrophil count, procalcitonin (PCT), C-reactive protein (CRP), and the combined
three-marker and six-marker tests for detection of bacterial versus nonbacterial causes
of systemic inflammation.
