A video clip file showing altered microcirculation in a patient with severe sepsis. Thirty-six small vessels (including one with absent flow and four with intermittent flow) and 25 large vessels (all perfused) are visualized. MFIs for each quadrant determined clockwise from the left upper one are 3, 3, 3 and 3. Accordingly, PPV is 76%, PVD is 5.4/mm and MFI is 3.
