The changes of white blood cell (WBC), platelet, and red blood cell (RBC) counts after
lipopolysaccharide (LPS) injection. The WBC count had already decreased at 1 hour
after LPS injection and was significantly lower in the control group. The platelet
count decreased after LPS injection and was lower in the control group at 6 and 12
hours after LPS injection. The RBC count stayed at similar levels, and no difference
was observed between the groups (*P < 0.05, **P < 0.01) (■: control group, □: danaparoid sodium group, n = 8 in each group).
