Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves of C-reactive protein (CRP), white blood cell (WBC) count, neutrophil count, lymphocyte count and neutrophil-lymphocyte count ratio (NLCR) for differentiating bacteremia from nonbacteremia. The area under the NLCR ROC curve differed significantly from those for the CRP level, WBC count and neutrophil count. The area under the lymphocyte count ROC curve differed significantly from those for the WBC count and neutrophil count.
